John Finnigan
John was born in Green Lane, South Shields, in
Coronation Year (1953). He shifted to South Gosforth twenty two years later, and remained
there for a couple of years before moving down to London, where he's been ever since.
In his own words 'No question about it, the formative influence on me as a writer
was after I nicked the Oxford Book of American Poetry from the Marine & Tech College
library and decided I had to have me some of that 20th century-type contemporary verse
action'. That was way back in 1969 and since then he's had a number of poem
placements in Literary Mags.
