A Faded Butterfly
By Priscilla Curle Kendrick

A faded butterfly in the wings of time,
Life so precious, so quickly gone,
Oh. The longing for youth
The gentle innocence of life,
Where we happily were the players,
Life wrapped up in a loving cacoon,
Protected by tenderness and everlasting love.
Innocence now forever gone,
Reflections of what might have been,
Our hopes our dreams faded memories.
Now again nestled in the arms of love,
New dreams, new thoughts from the wisdom of life,
Reflecting and pondering on the times,
We should have said,  “ I love you.”
