Solitude
By Priscilla Curle Kendrick

The hustle of a busy life,
The giving of time to my beautiful wife,
The children clamber round my feet,
I need my own time my own retreat,
To sit and ponder time away
Thinking of things we can do one day.

I could go fishing on a tranquil sea,
All alone fishing and feeling free,
Wondering on life,
And how we'd like it to be.
My wishes and dreams are put aside,
Until they come true through life I'll glide,
My beautiful wife, my children three,
You bring the greatest happiness to me.
