Animal Talk
by Helen Russell

The strangest farm I chanced upon
I heard a pig say to a swan
"I'm the ugliest pig in all the world
"just can't get my tail uncurled"

"0h please don't kick up such a row"
Said a lazy sleepy cow
"When I was born my tail was straight
Can't change it now, it's much too late

I keep it swishing every day
It helps to keep the flies away"
"Naturally" said the horse
"I do the same with mine, of course"

"You needn't worry" said a sheep
"The tail you've got is the tail you'll keep
But you're not ugly, you look great
Whoever saw a pig's tail straight
